The next printmaking project is underway. We have graduated from linocut relief print to woodblock relief print. This one will be a multi-color print. I decided on a monochromatic color scheme for this project, red hues. The first color was printed in this class last week.
The carving for the second color is now complete.
I am enjoy the relief printing, especially the reductive process for the multi-color woodblock. There is something with the whole process that just clicks. At first, it was strange to try and think in a negative format but I feel completely at home with the whole process so far…..
