Outside My Comfort Zone

Life continually remind us of those lessons we have yet to learn. I was recently reminded once again not to live life inside of my comfort zone. Our greatest triumphs and growth is found when we walk outside of our comfort zone and explore possibilities.

I recently undertook a new project. It started as a typical woodblock project and was planning on doing a conventional prints. I decided that I wanted to change the way my prints presented as final pieces. As I experimented, a new way of looking at my work found me a new way. True growth seems to happen when we sit back and let it find us and be open enough to receive it. This opened up new possibilities of “what if“. I found my experimentation leading to a whole new way of looking at my work.

When we explore “what if” we can truly explore the possibilities. To create without fear and have enthusiasm for our art practice.

Happy creating!
