“Here goes nothing” seems to be my catch phrase in class recently. It seems that my current print project has been full of wrong turns and lackluster attempts to get my desired affects. I am learning that printmaking can be challenging and you can’t alway predict the results but when it works….BAM… it’s worth everyContinueContinue reading “Here Goes Nothing!….”

Screenprinting: Experimenting With Screen Filler and Drawing Fluid
The next screen printing project was right up my alley. The theme for this project was experimentation. It is always so invigorating but frustrating to the creative process when you are experimenting with techniques and materials. The project required using screen filler and/or drawing fluid to create a print. Paper or acetate stencils could alsoContinueContinue reading “Screenprinting: Experimenting With Screen Filler and Drawing Fluid”

Molding Acrylic
Scavenged some great cardboard and but one to good use. Experimented with a little molding paste and acrylic. Here is the result. Enjoyed using the molding paste. It added a depth to the canvas and object you really can’t achieve with the paints. I don’t think the picture does it justice, but the depth ofContinueContinue reading “Molding Acrylic”

We startedContinueContinue reading “Acid Adventures”

Arts Fandango
There is a point in every artist journey when they have to decide whether or not they want to exhibit their work or not. This choice came out of the blue for me. It was not something I have given much thought to. The community college was having a fundraiser for an Art Scholarship fund andContinueContinue reading “Arts Fandango”
Fancy Free with Intaglio
More and more I am learning the the possibilities of printmaking are endless. My first project with an Intaglio process was with a drypoint technique on an acrylic plate.
